I have been asked by a lovely Macedonian lady if I could help her raise some money to feed the many stray cats and dogs in her care. Zanna has dedicated her life to rescuing and caring for street dogs and cats in Skopje, North Macedonia. For more than a decade, she has rescued hundreds of animals from the streets, where they face hunger, disease, violence and death. She provides them with shelter, food, medical care, love and hope for a better future. But Zanna can't do this alone. She works full-time and spends all of her income on the animals. She rents a place where she keeps over 40 dogs and cats, and pays for another 20 dogs to stay in kennels. She also feeds the strays that she sees every day on her way to work. She has many urgent and difficult cases that require special treatment and diets. She struggles to pay the bills and debts for the shelter, the kennels, the vet and the food. Zanna is on her own, facing many challenges and dangers from people who don't appreciate her work. The locals do not like the stray dogs being rescued and will resort to killing them by poisoning and shooting them. :( Zanna needs your help now more than ever. Zanna urgently needs help to cover the costs of kennels, veterinary care, anti-parasitic protection, and food. She needs your support to keep providing them with the care they deserve. It costs more than £45 a day to feed all the animals, and that's not counting the other expenses. A bag of 20kg dry food costs 30€ and the dogs eat 30kg every day. Without sponsorship, many of the dogs in her care will be forced out of the kennels. Zanna is a hero to the hundreds of animals who have depended on her for food, shelter, and love. But she can't do it alone. If you don't act now, these animals will face hunger and hardship. Don't let that happen. Please, show your compassion and donate whatever you can to help Zanna continue her noble work. Every pound you give will make a positive impact on these animals' lives. We are grateful for your generosity and kindness. xx
