Cooper got bit by a rattlesnake twice, right after he was in severe condition. we rushed him to the ER which was a hour away from where we were, There keeping him there for days and updating us, as of right now he’s not doing good, he’s in critical condition. He stopped breathing last night and was declining the antivenom, the dr called and said they were going to resesitate him, they got him breathing again with a breathing tube, and today he was able to breath on his own. the vet said he’s a little fighter, but he still has venom in his bloodstream, and even if he makes it, the bite on his nose can affect the quality of his life. the vet bill when we got there was $3,300, and when they called they said we had to pay another 6,000 for them to start trying to save his life. that doesn’t even include the next few days he’s going to stay there and the medicine there going to have to give him. i really hope he makes it he’s my bestfriend. They are still unsure if it was a typical rattle snake or a mohave rattle snake, which would mean we’d have to put him down:( but i’m hoping for the best.
