Hello everyone, My name is Jess, and I am starting a Go Fund Me for my sister and her pup, Piper. A week ago, Pip escaped out of the backyard. Unfortunately, she killed one free-range chickens on a neighbor's property while kids were watching. As a result, the landowner shot Piper in the front right leg. After 4 hours of looking for her and following a blood trail, we found her lying in a pool of blood in the forest on our property. She is lucky to be alive as she lost a significant amount of blood, but thankfully they were able to keep her stable. The x-rays show leftover bullet fragments scattered within her elbow, and her right elbow is shattered and unrepairable. We are doing what we can to save the leg, but even if it is saveable, it will never function the same. Amputation is highly likely. We are asking for help to cover some vet bill costs as they have been adding up quickly. Gill is a student at Mount Royal, and these unexpected expenses are impossible for her to cover alone. Asking for financial help was not easy as this situation is highly complicated and unfortunate for everyone involved.
