I am organizing a Viking Themed fundraiser for my birthday this year. And this themed party will involve pillaging for funds to benefit Operation WildLife (OWL). The idea is to have a competition to see just how much money we can raise to support a very worthy cause. This page is the home base for that effort. A bit about Operation WildLife: OWL is a nonprofit that is near and dear to my heart that is run on donations and volunteer efforts. OWL provides veterinary and rehabilitation services to wildlife in Northeast Kansas. They also provide educational programs. Their facility fields over 54,000 phone calls annually and cares for 4,000+ wild animals with the goal of returning them to the wild for a second chance at life. I have had a conversation with the wonderful human who runs OWL and she shared that the main thing they need now is money. She shared that in the last two years, there’s been a dramatic decline in rehabbers throughout the state and that has led to a dramatic increase in the number of intakes that have had. They now serve 53 counties in Kansas! That’s a lot of mouths to feed, and critters to house! So join me in my efforts to raise money for this wonderful organization!
