I've been selected to run the Tokyo marathon for Peace Winds Japan which, among other disaster relief work, rescues homeless dogs, provides no-kill shelters, and trains dogs to help in rescue efforts. My charity commitment is 114,000 yen which is about $788 depending on the exchange rate. Because of the unique way Tokyo marathon charity donations work, donors do not pay Peace Winds directly.
