Hey there, my name is Madhima. Wednesday the 5th July I stumbled upon this little guy when I went into a woodstore at Arjuna street in Ubud looking for a table. The animal life in Bali is quite brutal. I see a lot hurt and sick animals every day, it breaks my heart every time and feels so wrong to have to ignore it at the same time. If I wouldn’t I would have needed to create an animal shelter.. But with this one it was different . When i saw how he was suffering I couldn't let him go. He got driven over by a motorbike and had a whole smashed left leg that he was dragging after him. He was starving and sounding very loudly because of pain and need of attention. The people that was working on the place just ignored him and even screamed at him to go away or shut up. That was enough for me to take the situation in my hands. So I drove to the closest pet shop bought a cage, drove back, took him into the cage and drove him to the Sunset vet. Once I arrived to the clinic, they wanted me to fill a form and write his name so I named him Orange. He got diagnosed to have a very infected Palm and having severe skin problem. So they recommended him to stay at the vet for a week, take some more tests and give him the care and medication he needs to get back on all his feet again. Yesterday I got informed that he has not been urinating since he arrived. Which is not a good sign, this might mean that he got some nerves injured and have to get operated and amputate his leg. I have payed 200 dollars to give him the basic care he needs. But if he is going to get operated and stay longer at sunset vet. It will cost another 400 dollar or more. This inspired me to make a donation campaign that goes to both Orange operation and Sunset vet clinic so they can help more homeless animals and give them the care they need regardless if they have a owner or not.
