Hi, my name is Soh-Lee and I'm raising money to help pay for a rugby tour to Calgary with the Ontario Jr Blues this summer! I like to say that I've been practicing rugby for two years and playing for one, but it feels way longer than that! I was first introduced to the sport during COVID, practicing with my local club, and it wasn't until last year that I played my first game with my high school team. Since then, I have travelled all across Ontario (and even the US), playing for various teams and learning from incredible coaches, all leading me to this summer where I had the opportunity to try out for the provincial team. After competing with other athletes from across Ontario in tryouts and games I was able to secure one of the 26 spots on the travelling roster! This fundraiser will help pay for my travel costs and accommodations in Calgary where my team will be competing against other provinces for a gold medal. Being on this team is not only a personal triumph but a success for all the people who have helped me get to this point. I aim to represent all of my teammates, coaches and family back home and hope to promote rugby and competitive sport in Chatham-Kent. Any donations would be very helpful and greatly appreciated!
