The San Pablo Force soccer team is composed of inner-city kids, ages 9-11, from the cities of San Pablo, Richmond, El Sobrante and the Hercules area. Although they practice their physical skills at Rumrill Sports Park in San Pablo, coaches prioritize social-emotional growth using soccer as a connection and focus on positive reinforcement techniques to help build confidence, perseverance and tenacity within a space of healthy competition. Many of our players will undoubtedly face social and financial challenges in underprivileged and under-resourced communities that will make it more difficult for them to compete in the world as they grow older. A more immediate impact is the effort to keep the team together. Registrations are increasing and we lack soccer gear (uniforms, canopies, portable benches/chairs and other equipment we can use) as well as a way to pay tournament fees. We are trying to circumvent this by asking you all for financial help. ANY amount will benefit the team and will be appreciated by every child that continues their path of success via their love of soccer. You’ll be happy to know that in the short span of five months the team has made tremendous strides in league competition (we are now categorized as a competitive team!) and self-growth continues to be evident by the way the kids are playing and continue their dedication to getting better. Our coaches are working tirelessly and voluntarily to expand team growth and focus on social-emotional learning, but we can only do so much right now as we are constricted by financial setbacks. Please join us in providing every child an opportunity to stay on the team and continue working on expanding possibilities for them (beyond soccer!). We want to take this as far as we can. Aunque practican sus habilidades físicas en Rumrill Sports Park en San Pablo, los entrenadores priorizan el crecimiento socioemocional utilizando el fútbol como conexión y enfocándose en técnicas de refuerzo positivo para ayudar a construir confianza, perseverancia y tenacidad dentro de un espacio de sana competencia. Sin duda, muchos de nuestros jugadores enfrentarán desafíos sociales y financieros en comunidades desfavorecidas y de escasos recursos que les dificultará competir en el mundo a medida que envejecen. El impacto más inmediato es el esfuerzo por mantener el equipo unido. Las inscripciones están aumentando y nos falta equipo de fútbol (uniformes, toldos, bancas/sillas portátiles y otros cosas que podamos usar), así como una forma de pagar las tarifas de los torneos.
