Greetings from the Ombreclimbers! We are a passionate group of women and men of color with a mission to inspire others through the wonders of the great outdoors and promote a healthy lifestyle within communities of color. Our ultimate goal is to raise awareness about the lack of diversity in the mountaineering community while conquering incredible challenges. Last year, we accomplished something remarkable by summiting the 14,636 ft mountain known as La Malinche, and we also reached an impressive altitude of over 5,000 meters up the awe-inspiring Pico De Orizaba, North America's highest volcano. Although we were only a few steps away from the summit, timing hindered us from reaching the peak. But we are not discouraged! This year, armed with a new strategy and the right team structure, we are determined to achieve our dream of conquering Pico De Orizaba in December 2024. To ensure a safe and successful journey, we are partnering with an amazing guide service. As we embark on this life-changing adventure, we humbly seek your support.
