Well, hello there…. Joe Scutella here, singer songwriter of nearly five decades, the last 3 in Nashville. It’s been a dozen years or so since I’ve done a full personal recording project. It’s not been for lack of songs. As I approach my 70th birthday I thought it might be a good idea to put some songs down, even if only for posterity’s sake. So here I am, hat in hand; virtually busking I suppose; asking my friends, family, fans and whomever may be so inclined to help me along in doing so. I hope to have the project completed by my 70th in late February 2024. I have tentatively titled my project “Octobre” as I feel as if I am in the October of my life. Well, I hope to be that lucky anyway. Of course your generosity will be rewarded with a copy of the music, digital cd or download. I’m not sure as to vinyl as of yet. We'll see? I hope as well to have my wife, artist Mary Ann Stuart, create a cover echoing the theme of “Octobre”. I plan on having prints of that made too. For those of you capable of donations of $500 to $1000 or more I'd like to offer a house concert where and whenever possible. I am sussing out the tunes now. Some will be full band productions while others stripped down to a few instruments. I'll be leaning upon my talented friends for help with instrumentation, engineering and production. I'm looking at 15 to possibly 20 songs. Thank you all in advance and I look forward to hearing from you. all the best, Joe Scutella
