Hello, my name is Fiona McMullen. I am fundraising for a friend named Jamie Elder. Jamie is a veteran, and her service dog needs your help. Last night, Jamie's dog Nuna was attacked by a pit bull. The pitbull came out of nowhere and was not provoked. Nuna's injuries that we know of so far include severe gashes to the neck and throat and a broken jaw, as the pitbull had attacked her by the throat and had her in its jaws. The cost to tend to Nuna's injuries is high, and Jamie cannot afford the entire cost on her own. Anyone who has ever visited the Fort Mall in Idyllwild CA knows that Nuna is our mascot. She greets people and is always a delight to see. I am calling to my community. I am calling to everyone who loves Idyllwild and what we stand for. We all love our dogs like they are our family. This particular dog is a very special one. All funds will be going towards the cost to fix Nuna's injuries and to help her recover. Please help us see her through this; any donation big or small is appreciated. Costs  Over $2,000 to get Nuna's gashes fixed up on 7/17/23. As the wounds heal, additional bandages in the wounds will need to be replaced every 3 days, about $170 each time.  $7,000-$9,000 to get her jaw fixed. Additional surgery may be needed.
