Hello, my name is Joanne. I met Eileen Ramirez through the Don't Bannock Food Concession. I had the good fortune to spend a day helping in the truck and got to meet Eileen, Nicole and Dezzy. Tragically, on July 26, Eileen broke the terrible news that sweet Nicole had passed away: "Woke up with such a heavy heart. Rest in peace, my beautiful niece/daughter. ❤️ She had such a beautiful smile and a soft voice. She is now our guardian angel. Nicole touched so many lives, through soccer, her work with the homeless shelter, & through my food truck. I helped raise her, she lived with us here at our late dad's house. ❤️ Prayers for our boys Dezzy Henry and Sammy as well as her brothers Shane, Kevin, Trent, Matteo, and Quinn, her parents Trav & Karen, and her aunts and uncles. Huy ch q'u to those that have sent a handshake and if you would like to send a handshake for Dezzy & Sammy (her sons), please contribute to this LFEBridge. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️" Four days ago Eileen and her family also lost her Uncle, and their food truck was broken into. They lost over $2000 of stuff and a window was smashed. Eileen has cancelled nine upcoming events as she needs to make all the funeral arrangements and be there for her and Nicole's boys. The food truck is the family's only income and so they are now facing financial hardship on top of the incredible grief they are dealing with. Please donate to this fundraiser so this family can have some breathing room to help them begin to heal from their terrible losses. Eileen works tirelessly in our communities, often with the boys helping out, and can always be found with a huge smile and her delicious food. She often promotes people and organizations on her Facebook page and is always spreading the word about events. Let's take this time to show her how much we respect her, and her hard work. Let's also honour the memory of Nicole who has left her family and this community far too soon.
