Hi Friends, Family, and animal lovers, I am asking for your help for the love of Nelly the infamous doppelganger for Yoda, Falcor, Benji! Nelly has been taking meds for 5 weeks now for congestive heart failure ( heart murmur and enlargement of the heart muscle) She started out with a cough and fast breathing and rapid heartbeat and liquid in her lungs. At first the meds worked and we weaned her off of the diuretic medication for her cough because she was responding to everything. However, doing so led to more liquid around her heart and in her lungs and she suffered last night and I thought she was going to die... she collapsed on the floor. I got her to the emergency and the team took her vitals and then put her in a state-of-the-art oxygen kennel! They have administered all appropriate medications intravenously to get her heart and breath rates calmer. Nelly is staying overnight and I will have to make a decision tomorrow what to do next. They recommend a cardiogram, another $650.00 I'm already in for $1490.00.Please help me help NellyBelly! I am so stressed about how I can continue with Nelly's care and extend her life with proper heart medications that I decided to reach out to all of you! I will use these funds only to pay for Nelly's doctor's bill and initial medication. My thinking and gut tell me she is a tough cookie and deserve some more momma love. I have to tell you that I just love her to death and my own heart is breaking right now. I am not in the financial condition yet that I have been working so hard to achieve but now this is adding more stress to make ends meet. I want to say that all of those who know me... I would do the same for you in your time of need and I am grateful for anything to help pay for her medical care. Nelly is loving her home away from home in Jacksonville OR from Venice Beach her Birthplace, 5/29/2011. I adopted her from a lovely young lady who rescued this adorable, cuter than anything I've ever laid my eyes on from a box of 5-week-old puppies and I said.."I'll take her!" that was exactly 12 years ago on July 4th, 2011! I counted backward how many weeks she was, and we share the same birthday May 29. Nelly loves her new buddy Oliver the orange and white kitty. They love to play and kiss. Oliver will truly miss his playmate if I can't bring her home where she can finish living out her fabulous dog life and I will continue loving on her 'til the cows come home. I hope my story will give hope for recovery with the medications and extend her life for a while longer. Thank you for reading my story and for your donations.
