Team #1 finished 11th in the country (pictured below) and went 2-1 in pool play (losing to the eventual national champions WAC) and losing the tie-breaker for top 8. Team #2 finished 7th in the country and went 2-1 in pool play and won the tie-breaker, eventually losing to the national champions (Chicago) in the quarter-finals on a controversial last-second try.
