On Thursday, July 27th our cat was hit by a car. His prognosis is good pending surgery. They need to amputate his tail and fix a breakage in his jaw bone. Last night, he went from Urgent Care to the ER where they stabilized him. The ER doctor was very hopeful. No broken bones, no skull fracture. Legs and spine okay. But the initial payment was $2,500. Today, they called because their two concerns from last night were his tail and his jaw. His tail needs to be amputated and his jaw bone needs to be reconnected, which has been quoted at $6,500. I know it might seem ridiculous to be paying this much for a cat but he is a member of our family that we love dearly. Our Nana chose him. After losing her, Bad Boy (AKA Toothless, Meow Meow, or Vincent’s) became an emblem for our families healing. He is a part of our family who represents a connection to Nana that no one is ready to let go of. Both doctors are positive that he'll make a full recovery, but we could use the help to alleviate some of the financial stress from his surgeries as well as continued prayers that he heals and continues to be the strong, funny, and loving cat we all love so much. Thank you ❤️
