In a few days time, I will be traveling to Nairobi in Kenya, where I will be participating in a volunteering program with Volunteering Solutions. For two weeks, I will be working in an orphanage in Nairobi, helping out with the day-to-day running of the orphanage and helping to look after the children. Nairobi is a city with pockets of extreme poverty, with many orphanages that depend on volunteers and continued financial support to help take care of vulnerable children. I have set up this LFEBridge page to try to help raise some funds for the orphanage that I will be placed in. Any money raised will be spent directly on essential items for the children. This will include items such as sanitary equipment, medicine, toys and educational materials. I will seek advice from the local program leader upon arrival on how funds raised can be best spent to help the orphanage. I will document how all the money raised will be spent, and hopefully show the positive impact that any donations made will have. Donations of any size would be really appreciated. Thanks very much!
