My Study Abroad at University of Edinburgh, Scotland Hi, I'm Alexander Daniels, a Philosophy major at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, originally from Los Angeles, California. I am excited to study abroad this next academic year (Sept. to June) at the prestigious University of Edinburgh, Scotland in the United Kingdom. With your help, I will be able to take numerous courses in Philosophy (at one of the world’s preeminent places to study the subject), a few courses in Politics, and one exciting famous seminar in European Cinema; and experience the UK, its countries and the Highlands firsthand; and have fun with my new peers. This will be my first time outside of the United States, first time on an airplane alone, first time going to a pub, first time being eaten by the Loch Ness Monster, and I plan to make every experience memorable. Now, all I need to do is earn some money and/or raise some of the funds. This summer I took a non-paying internship with a start-up, non-profit advocating for climate change solutions and working on technology innovations to that end. Cornell University gave me several grants and scholarships due to my academic achievements that will specifically pay for a large portion of this coming year’s Edinburgh experience. However, there are still significant funds needed, which is why I am reaching out to family and friends and friends of friends of friends through LFEBridge to cover the deficit.
