Hi everyone! This October I will be attending my first open-heart medical mission in Nigeria. Alongside a team of medical professionals and the VOOM foundation I will help provide care for children receiving open-heart surgery. I am very excited to be able to have this opportunity! The team will also utilize our expertise to train and educate the local cardiac staff at the Dame Irene Okwuosa Memorial Hospital in Nigeria. We will focus our care on underserved children who cannot afford the high cost of open-heart surgery. Although there are many expenses that come with a medical mission, I am responsible for my airfare, visa to enter the country, necessary vaccines, as well as supplies that may not be available to me in Nigeria. All donations will be used for these costs, any funds left over will be used for extra supplies that are suggested to us to bring or will be donated to the VOOM foundation for future missions. Thank you so much for support and generosity!
