Hi, my name is Kelly. I am the daughter and youngest child of Sharon Neumann. Sharon resided in San Antonio, TX for 6 years. She worked for the Salvation Army as a bell ringer for the holidays. She lived in a low-income, senior apartment near Woodlawn Park. In April, Sharon was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer which had metastasized throughout her body. This all happened very suddenly and was completely unexpected. Over the past 3 months, I have been traveling between my home in Nevada and San Antonio, TX, to handle medical decisions. I have an older brother, Keith, who wants nothing to do with any of this, so I have been left to burden all the responsibilities and expenses alone. Sharon passed away alone in a long-term facility in the early morning on July 1, 2024. Her wishes are to be cremated and witnessed by her children. I will be traveling back to Texas to complete these final wishes. Say my final goodbye and lay her to rest. The total cost of the cremation is $1,500. The travel expenses are $500 r/t plane tickets. There will be a rental car needed as well as 2 nights in a hotel. I am very prideful and don't like to ask for help. This situation has been extremely stressful and financially burdensome. I know this isn't what my mother's intentions were. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated more than you could ever know.
