Hello! My name is Mary and I have a young Mustang horse I am training named Journey. This had been a dream of mine forever since I was a little girl. To have a part in saving one of these beautiful creatures from a life in holding pens, and teaching her how to live amoung us humans successfully was my goal. I am not young and this is my only chance to help in this way. When I got her I was so excited to start this "journey" hence the name. She has done so well with all the training I have given her up to the present. I got her a year ago and she had a lump in her mouth that both vets that looked at it thought was scar tissue... It turned out to be a tumor that had encompassed her baby and adult teeth, preventing them from growing in. It was painful for her as she protected her right side in many ways. I took her to a vet hospital that removed it with surgery along with her teeth! She has recovered nicely from that and is doing well. She suffered through the two weeks of stall rest and awful~ tasting meds, I had to give her orally, twice a day! (not easy..) The surgery took almost all the money I had for her training that I am not capable of doing under saddle, for a professional trainer. She is now ready for that step in her training, and I no longer have all the money needed for the two months she will need to be there as it is not where I live..I am not used to asking for help it is very hard for me. I am almost tapped out! If you would consider helping us out with this in any small amount would be so appreciated by myself, I cannot even express my gratitude. Thank you Mary and Journey
