Hi, my name is Jade and this fundraiser is for my 12 year old cat, Mischief. She has many years to go but was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism which is fatal if left untreated. She will need a treatment plan for a radioiodine injection (which can cure her completely!) but the expense is $2500 and is needed up front. This cat means the world to me, she is my family and my best friend. This is treatable and I couldn't live with myself if I didn't come up with the funds to take care of her. If you can please help donate, even a dollar, it will be helpful. She needs the treatment immediately, it can't wait. Thank you so very much. Update: I made her radioactive iodine injection appointment for the $2500. After scheduling, they told me Mischief needs a "pre-therapy" appointment which will involve: a rabies shot, blood work, urinalysis, and X-rays. We aren't sure yet if there will be an added expense for sedation or whether she'll cooperate awake. I've updated the goal to reflect the new costs. We were referred to a surgeon and given medication to help manage her thyroid problems while we addressed this new, much bigger concern. The surgeon consult was $243 and the surgery for biopsy of her mass is estimated around $2500-$3000. This is the only way we will know if it's cancer or not.
