Hello, my name is Taylor. @unleashingthepack on instagram. Milo is my 3 year old mutt, my very first dog. Last night in the middle of the night he started coughing nonstop and it just kept getting worse and worse. I drove him to the first vet and they diagnosed him with aspiration pneumonia. They put him on oxygen and he started to improve but when they took pl him off the oxygen he would rapidly deteriorate. So they asked us to transfer him to the overnight emergency hospital. Once we arrived at the next vet, they told us the fees are estimated to be over $10,000. I do have both pet insurance and care credit. My care credit was maxed out by this visit and my pet insurance doesn’t pre pay, it only reimbursed after the fact. My coverage is only for $10,000 as well. And to make matters worse I also just had surgery myself earlier this week on both of my legs, so money is just overall really tight. The vet clinic Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital is helping me out as much as they can and allowed me to make a low deposit of $1,500 so they can treat him. And they’re going to help me in any way possible and I appreciate them working with me the best they can. I hate asking for help but I don’t know what I’d do without him. I did everything you’re supposed to before hand, with the exception of having 10k saved up for emergencies. If I don’t end up needing the extra money whether it’s worst case scenario or best case, I will be sure to have everything returned. thank you guys so much.
