Dear family and friends, My mum, Gbemisola Kumolu sadly and suddenly passed on Saturday, July 8th, 2024 in her sleep at the age of 43. We had spoken the night before, said goonights, only to find her unresponsive in her room in the morning. She was a vibrant, loving, and compassionate young mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend who brought joy and happiness to everyone around her. My only brother is 16 years old and has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), a genetic disorder characterized by progressive weakening of voluntary muscles. He is unable to walk and therefore requires lifetime care and support. My mum and I were his caregivers, but now I have to figure it out all by myself. I am in college too. As you can imagine, we are all emotionally devastated and heartbroken by this unexpected loss of someone known to be very hardworking, loving, prayerful, caring, resourceful and enterprising to all who knew her. To alleviate the financial burden of the funeral cost and expenses on our family at this difficult time of grief and sorrow, I would please request your financial support. The funds raised will directly help cover the expenses related to her passing, funeral expenses, and medical bills and ensure that I and my two siblings receive the necessary support and resources to continue our lives.
