It is with deep sadness that we announce our beloved Meaza Habtemariam passed away on June 30, 2024 at the age of 53. Born in Asmara, Eritrea, to parents Habtemariam Abaye and Milashu Gebremedhin. She was the youngest of three children: Brothers Woldu and Kifle. For many years, Meaza had been a cherished resident of San Jose, California, calling it home since immigrating in 1996. As an integral part of the vibrant Eritrean Community in the Bay Area, she endeared herself to many who had the privilege of knowing her. Her presence illuminated every gathering, radiating warmth and joy to all those around her, with infectious laughter that could brighten even the gloomiest of days, leaving a lasting positive impact on everyone she met. Beyond her active involvement in the Eritrean Community, Meaza was most known and admired for her role as a devoted and loving mother to her two sons, Daniel and Aman. Their bond exemplified the unyielding resolve and strength of a mother's love. Throughout the years, she wholeheartedly prioritized her children, providing unwavering care and guidance. Meaza's dedication to motherhood was unparalleled, and her selflessness left a profound impact on all who witnessed it. She embodied the true essence of a nurturing and protective mother, and her legacy in this regard will continue to inspire and uplift others, reflecting the enduring power of a mother's love. Meaza is survived by her brother Woldu Habtemariam, sons Daniel Germay and Aman Germay, Grandchildren Fiona Daniel, Ariam Daniel, and Kisannet Daniel. The funds gathered will be used to cover the expenses incurred by the funeral arrangements and transportation costs. ******** Update ******** Thank you for your generous support on the LFEBridge fundraiser for Meaza Habtemariam.
