Martin Sayer passed away unexpectedly at the age of 36 on Tuesday, July 25. Martin was publically known as a talented tennis player, mentor, and coach but he also was a devoted father, husband, brother, and son. He will be greatly missed by all those that have known him. Martin is survived by his wife, Ashley, and his son Roger. Roger is 6 years old and named for Martin’s favorite tennis player, Roger Federer. We would like to support the Sayer family to pay for funeral expenses and set up a college fund for Roger for his future. (Everyone that knows Roger knows he is already a Hokie!). Thank you all for reaching out and supporting everyone during this time. It has been overwhelming for the family and for the Virginia Tech tennis community.
