Hey, y’all! I’m Norasha-Nya—this pretty princess’ chosen human, and we’re looking for some help with her sudden medical bills. What we initially thought was a bellyache, or maybe some PTSD from our horrific 4th of July attack, has turned out to be far more complicated. Baby girl has lost a drastic amount of weight, hasn’t eaten, and has now stopped drinking. Her labs have come back near perfect, but there seems to be a mass in her abdomen. Both her vet and the emergency vet have practically ruled out it being a tumor, which now means that she’s in need of an emergency exploratory surgery to identify the source of the mass and hopefully repair the damaged tissue. 7/12 has been a full day of diagnostic testing at both her primary and emergency clinic. She’s had multiple bags of fluids, meds, and scans. She is resting comfortably now at the emergency vet as we try to figure out how to best navigate this impending procedure. 7/13 Millie went in for exploratory surgery early in the day. Again, they weren’t entirely sure what they were going to find when they opened her up. I went back to visit her a few hours post-op and she already seemed so much more alert and lively. The removed a foreign object and found enough healthy intestine to piece back together. She still requires observation and will stay at the puppy hospital further. Any funds received via this campaign will go towards her cost of care, a cost that I definitely hadn’t prepared for. Thank you for thinking of this little mama who hasn’t had the best beginning of her life, but hopefully has many more years for me to make that up to her.
