Hi my name is Olivia and I’m fundraising for our beloved pug, Macey. She is a 6 years old and been struggling with diabetes for most of her life. Macey has had many ups and downs with her health, but within the last 5 days, her health has taken a turn for the worst. Macey has been diagnosed with Diabetic ketoacidosis, and her treatment has been extremely expensive and hard on my family. Macey currently requires 24-hour care and monitoring from the animal hospital and vet. Everyday we have to drive her back and forth between vets, to get an insulin drip and constant glucose testing. Macey has been making improvements but the doctors say that she will need to be under their care for a minimum of 5 more days. Our family is soon going to have to have an extremely difficult decision to make. Due to the unbearably high costs of the vet and animal hospital, our family will soon have to decide to discontinue care for Macey by the medical professionals. The costs and heartbreak for Macey have already been overwhelming and crushing for our family. All we want is for Macey to get better and give her the quality of life she deserves.
