Last week, we lost one of the good ones. Scott Hall was a beloved friend, colleague and medical director. And an incredible human. He was tragically killed in a UTV accident on July 4th. Our lives and emergency department will never be the same. More importantly, though, he leaves behind a wife and 1-year-old daughter. His daughter will only know him through those of us who had the honor and privilege of knowing him. We are setting up a fund for Libby, his daughter, in memoriam of Scott. Next week, I'm running Speedgoat 50k in Utah. I love running, especially in the mountains. However, this last week puts into perspective how trivial something like this is. By the same token though, it reminds us to spend time doing the things we love with the people we love. My run will be dedicated to Scott's memory. While Scott wasn't a runner, he loved everything outdoors. As I'm moving through the mountains next weekend, he will be at the forefront of my mind. If you feel so compelled, consider donating to Libby's fund in honor of Scott. Rest easy Scott, we'll take it from here! *This LFEBridge is not the actual fund, but will be given directly to the manager of the fund Obituary Dr. Scott Hall 1984-2024 Bethany, MO: Dr. Scott Hall, 38, Bethany, Mo., passed away in a UTV accident on July 4, 2024.
