Hello,My name is Haley Price, a trainer for the Laurentian University's Men's Lacrosse team. I came to University, and wanted to be a part of a movement at Laurentian. I looked into starting a women's lacrosse team at the University, but unfortunately was politely turned away. Although this was discouraging, I have been given the opportunity to be a part of a movement with the men's lacrosse team. I applied for the position to be a trainer for the team last school year, and started in the position in August. When I walked onto the field for the first time, I did not know what to expect, but after getting to know the players, and the coaches, I knew that this was the place where I wanted to be. This group of guys are some of the kindest, hardest working, and genuine people I have come to know. They welcomed the newcomers with open arms, they pick each other up, and they support one another both on and off the field. The bond that these guys have is inspirational.The team has been given the chance to compete in playoffs this season - an opportunity that has not been seen often at Laurentian. With the skill, and heart that is shown on the field - it is guaranteed that this team will do everything in their power to play, to compete, and to win. We are looking for funding, as the boys have already paid a large amount of money to play the regular season, and do not have the funding to afford travel costs for their playoff game at Brock University this weekend.Please help us be a part of the game we love, and to give the vets of the Laurentian Voyageurs Men's Lacrosse team one last chance at the Baggataway Cup.Thank you for your time.
