Lakeland K9's Campaign to Cooperstown 2016!!The Lakeland K9’s is a team made up of 11 friendly, fun-loving, hard-working 12 year olds from Lakeland, Florida who enjoy playing baseball. Our team has been invited to play in the Cooperstown Dreams Park Tournament in Cooperstown, New York from June 18 to 24, 2016. The Cooperstown Tournament is a once in a lifetime opportunity for these young men to compete in the great game of baseball with over 100 teams from across the entire nation! During the trip, the team will stay in the player’s village, meet hundreds of young ball players from all across the United States, play baseball on the hallowed grounds where the sport began, and visit the National Baseball Hall of Fame to explore the rich history of baseball. At the conclusion of the week long tournament, the players will be inducted into the American Youth Baseball Hall of Fame! This is truly a great honor, however the boys do need your help to get there. Because baseball is a team sport, we need to raise the money for the whole team to attend – which includes 11 players and three coaches. So please donate – and forward this message to other family and friends who can help! Baseball is far more than a game to us and this team is something special. They are learning skills like teamwork, dedication, perseverance, and commitment – skills they will use the rest of their lives. And this team is full of outstanding boys who are not just ball players but fine young men who are being led by wonderful, dedicated coaches! We have begun our fundraising efforts to support this trip and we are asking you to make a donation today to help make this dream become a reality! The Lakeland K9's are a non-profit organization, so any contribution will be tax deductible. No contribution is too small and any amount is appreciated - $5, $20, $50, or more…Every donation gets our team closer to paying for entry fees, travel, lodging, uniforms, team pins, food, and equipment necessary for the week.
