I am asking for your help. After some discussion, the Bystrom family has allowed me to reach out to friends, family and our community to request that you consider making a donation towards Krystal's funeral services and help lessen the burden on her grieving family. On the evening of October 14th, Krystal Bystrom, a friend of over 20 years who is like a sister to me, was involved in a terrible car accident. Krystal was driving with her fiance Megan when traffic on highway 24 came to a sudden stop due to road construction. Although Krystal was able to stop in time, the vehicle behind them could not. The damage was incomprehensible, sending both women to trauma ICU in critical condition. For the next six days, our beloved Kritterbug put up one hell of a fight. Her family was devasted to learn the extent of Krystal's injuries. It was a real life nightmare felt by her immediate family, who remained by her side. Krystal was in very capable and caring hands at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. But the complications resulting from the accident were too great. On October 20th at 4:37 pm, our sister, daughter, auntie, fiance and friend earned her wings.As you can imagine, this was completely unexpected, but Krystal was given the beautiful service she deserves, full of the love and memories we all had to share.
