I recently posted about Kiwi, that I adopted from Denver Animal Shelter, who ended up being heartworm positive. I have started treatment for that and paid for her bloodwork, xrays, medications to start, etc. There will be some much larger expenses coming up with the actual injections and pain medications. Unfortunately, Kiwi and I got a double whammy as Friday I came home from running errands and she was acting strange and her leg appeared injured. Unfortunately, her femur had dislocated from her hip joint. Two emergency vet visits and we got it back in place, but it is common for it to slip out of place again. The xrays showed she has a shallow hip joint on one side which probably caused this, and now the only fix is FHO surgery which will hopefully happen Monday of next week. I have researched one of the most affordable places in the state to have this done, but she is currently in pain and cannot bear weight on her leg. I have attached our original photo and one of her leg being held in the air. If anyone has the means and the desire to contribute just a few dollars to Kiwi's medical campaign I would greatly appreciate it. Even a few dollars helps I am more than happy to share photos of receipts for monies I have already spent and you can confirm her upcoming surgery with Animal Works Veterinary in Fort Collins, CO (970) [Telefonnummer bearbeitet] and heartworm treatment with Allbrick Veterinary (303) [Telefonnummer bearbeitet]. Various invoices are posted in the updates and clinic phone numbers are on the invoices. I know people have asked for updates about her heartworm treatment, but I will also be posting updates about her surgery. See the donation link below.
