Hi, my name is Lexi and my dog Kaiya had a freak accident while playing today. She slipped and fell which caused her hip to dislocate. After going to two different vets today they came to the conclusion that she will need FHO surgery on Monday to repair her hip & then she will have a long recovery after that. Also, while at the vet, they realized that both of her hips are in pretty bad shape due to poor breeding and poor genetics…which makes Kaiya more prone to these accidents! Kaiya also suffered another injury, similar to this less than six months ago (a separation in her pelvis). As you can imagine, all of her vet visits have been quite costly. Any bit of help is greatly appreciated from both Kaiya and I. We are hoping for a smooth surgery and recovery on Monday. Thank you everyone in advanced!
