Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money and awareness in aid of Ubuntu Wildlife Trust & The Dylan Strong Foundation and every donation will help. Friends from Whimple Cricket Club will be walking the 95 miles along the Jurassic Coast from Poole in Dorset to Exmouth in Devon starting on Friday 29th September and hopefully completing on Sunday 1st October. #WEAREWHIMPLE Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me. More information about Ubuntu Wildlife Trust: The Ubuntu Wildlife Trust is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the conservation and preservation of Africa's biodiversity registered in the UK and South Africa. We are helping to create a sustainable world for the next generations, we reimagine the relationship between people and the natural world. The earth can only sustain us if we protect biodiversity, and to protect biodiversity we need resilient systems that address social and economic needs of people. These issues are interlinked and need to be addressed in an all-encompassing strategy. We protect, rehabilitate, conserve, and preserve historical habitats of biodiverse value, and associated species, in southern Africa, while ensuring sustainability through the active involvement and ownership of people who depend on these lands. We do this to restore the ancient wildlife migration routes of Maputaland and northern Zululand by connecting existing reserves, building corridors, and forming new protected areas. We are also committed to the war against poaching and the illicit wildlife trade. We support the men, women and dogs fighting on the frontline to protect wildlife. Dylan tragically died in June 2024 of a brain tumour at just 7 years old. The foundation was set up by Dylan’s family to support children and their families and to raise awareness and fund research into childhood cancer. The Dylan Strong Foundation's mission is to ensure no family feels out of control and unsupported. We want to be there to hold your hand through this journey and make sure you and your child are supported through their treatment and beyond, as we know how overwhelming and worrying it can be. We offer practical and emotional support to children and their families as well as providing nutritional advice. We are working with the NHS to ensure that parents and their children always have healthier food options whilst in hospital. We want to ensure every child has the chance to thrive through their cancer treatment and beyond. Find out more at www.dylanstrongfoundation.co.uk
