Juniper "Junie" Wren Slagle was born on 9/3/2024. A beautiful baby girl born to the amazing parents of Andy and Kristen Slagle. From the Facebook page of Juniper’s parents… On 8/1/2024, Juniper left us to be in Heaven with Jesus. That is our only comfort right now. That and the support of our friends and family whom we love deeply. Thank you to everyone who prayed for her across the world, we felt it all and it gave us the strength to keep fighting the past 5 days in the hospital with her. • There is no way I can sum up her life or our love for her in a social media post. Every day with her was a gift from God and we have known that from the beginning. We have cherished every single day we were given with her. She brought us so much joy and light. We cannot fathom our lives without her. • I know people will ask and wonder what happened so I want to give a brief explanation. She has had various minor seizures before and we hoped and prayed that she would grow out of them. It’s most likely that she had Dravet syndrome, which made her last seizures on Thursday resistant to medical treatment. We also did get confirmation that Junie had contracted Adenovirus at some point recently which most likely started the seizures. The doctors did their best for her and we are thankful they could care for her and allow us to be with her a little longer to say goodbye. Macie was able to see her and make handprint art with her. . Our beautiful and perfect daughter, Juniper Wren Slagle, you will forever be in our hearts and we will look forward to and celebrate the day when we see you again in Heaven. They will have many medical bills for ambulance transport, life flight helicopter, brain surgery and funeral expenses.
