Let me tell you a story about the Beautiful soul in the above picture. When Julie was 12 years old she had a dream of taking a road trip out West. She took out a map and started plotting the route she would take. She started a Bucket list of all the places she wanted to see along the way...... Fast forward 4 decades and a few years later, Julie decided it was time to put her trip together and go. In 2024, she began planning and working extra hrs to be able to stash money here and there. Then she took the big step in 2024, when she took a job that gave her benefits and would give her time to travel. Julie was mapping and plotting ..... oh what an adventure it would be! Then in November 2024, another distraction arouse. Julie was diagnosed with lung cancer. Most people would have collapsed with such devastating news, but not our Julie. She reached deep down in her soul and declared "cancer I will battle you". With a very positive attitude, Julie started her treatment right away - 12 chemotherapy treatments and 30 radiation treatments - which finished in February. We all prayed and waited for March. First scan after treatment was clear of cancer! Yeah, this was the best news in months. We prayed and waited for June. All this time, Julie maintained her amazing positive attitude and continued to plan her adventure. Then her June scan was done and unfortunately, the results showed the lung nodule had returned. So they ordered a PET scan for July.... we prayed. Then two weeks ago, she received the results that her cancer had now spread to her bones. Again most people would have crawled in a hole, but not our Julie! With great strength and stride she told us: "We knew from the beginning that this cancer is treatable but not curable ". So, she has started treatments again. Julie is a mother of two, Mom to many and a Grandmother to three wonderful grandchildren with another one to arrive soon. Julie has worked hard all her life. And she has given the shirt off her back to help many. Although she would never ask for help, we feel she deserves her adventure, so we are asking in her brave honor. We would like to get Julie on her Dream Adventure. We have about six weeks to raise some money. Why you ask? Because alot of the roads and the places Julie wants to see close the 1st of October. So any dollar amount will be greatly appreciated. If all you can do is share her page, please do, because sharing is caring and caring is showing Love. Let's all show Julie some Love and get her off on her Dream Adventure! Our deepest Thanks Cathy Cadwell-Town Judy Witham
