On Wednesday July 12 Jude was admitted to Tufts Large Animal Hospital for colic. It was found he had a right dorsal displacement of his colon and despite round the clock care from the wonderful Tufts staff it did not right on its own. On Thursday, July 13th we were faced with a tough choice. We chose to undergo surgery given the good prognosis. Unfortunately due to an injury Jude sustained a few years back, his insurance policy was discontinued and we are left to pay the hefty surgical and care bill. He is worth every cent - an amazing mount for myself, my sister and mother. All three of us have so many memories with him and he has been a part of our family for 11+ years. He is my mothers heart horse and she has invested every penny she owns into his care and well-being. We do not like asking for hand outs, but couldn’t stand the thought of losing a horse as special as Jude. Any amount people can spare as well as shares will be greatly appreciated. The Richards Family
