On July 12, 2024, our beloved John Power, the only partner in the Waffle Brothers LLC, passed away. As a result, all of the employees at all three Waffle Brothers locations lost their jobs, and the restaurants are permanently closed. An additional effect is that all employees lost their last two weeks of pay. This reality is devastating to the wonderful WB family of employees, most of whom work paycheck to paycheck just to pay rent and make ends meet. I am LeAnn Estey, a longtime friend of Gayla Power, John’s wife. Gayla is not only devastated by the loss of her cherished spouse and partner of 35 years but the impact this has had on all of the employees. As a result, I’m creating this page to raise funds to gift to these individuals to help them bridge the financial gap that the WB family is enduring together.
