This LFEBridge is on behalf of those who loved, worked with and admire Jimmy. All funds will go directly to his wife, Paula. On June 8th we lost a pillar of our community, James Weydig, after a 3-year battle with cancer. Jim (James, Jimmy, Digger, Digs) was many things to many people, all centered around his love of his work, his community, his family, his friends and doing good to make the world a better place. Whether you knew Jim as an Architect, a colleague, a close friend, Scout Master or neighbor, you can recall the numerous ways in which he touched you personally or for the community at large. Jim was a bright light who illuminated his kindness, warmth, and sense of humor wherever he went. Knowing Jim meant that you had a loyal friend for life who would always be there in good times and would be the first one to be there when times went bad. Above all, Jim was a devoted husband to his wife Paula, and a loving father to his son Ryan. The trio have been a unified force who together lived life with passion and in service to others. Jim enjoyed each day of his life to the fullest. He loved waking up each day to see what the new day would bring. This allowed Jim and his family to create and share memories together that will never be forgotten and forever cherished. There is no doubt that Jim’s passing has created a void, yet we know that Paula and Ryan will go forward with the same sense of optimism and love that Jim would expect. Cancer can be crushing, both from an emotional standpoint and a financial one as well. Our desire is to help take the weight off Paula and Ryan by removing some of the financial burden his passing has created. This would allow the family to grieve without the worry of covering medical costs, college, home costs and other expenses that come because of Jim’s death. Jim always went the extra mile (both literally and figuratively) in everything he did (he was the marathon runner and always went above and beyond everyone’s expectations). To the Scouts it was also known as ‘The Weydig Mile’ (which was always longer than 1 mile as Jim would often take a wrong turn while enjoying the adventure!). We now ask you to go the extra mile for Jim. Every donation will get us closer to our goal of supporting Jim for all he has done for us by helping those he loved the most, his wife Paula and his son Ryan. We want to thank you deeply for taking the time to read this and for your contribution and continued love and prayers for the Weydig Family.
