Jacksonville Dance Theatre - Who We Are Jacksonville Dance Theatre has always been known to push the envelope. This women-run modern dance company remains committed to creative innovation and exchange through choreographic projects, concert dance performances, movement outreach to help others heal, and dance education in underserved schools. Regardless of your location - or if you’ve never seen live dance - when you support JDT you’re supporting art with a huge impact and ripple effect going well beyond the stage. Entering our 12th Season: What will you find? Movement is essential. JDT sees the power of the human body as a canvas for art, education, storytelling, performance, entertainment, and wellness. By supporting JDT's 12th season, you’ll help: Support our Artistic Director Rebecca Levy to further her research on mental health awareness, female empowerment, and the healing power of dance. Continue the work of Eboné Amos, an artist who advocates for diversity, inclusion, and empowerment within the dance community, particularly for communities of color.
