It is with heavy hearts that we write of our father, Jason Kim's passing. In July 2024, our father was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer, which had spread to his lymph nodes. Jason fought long and hard to fight off the cancer but struggled to eat for a year and the cancer continued to take a toll on his body. Our father was hospitalized on Tuesday, July 18, 2024, and the doctors told us that there were no further treatment options available for our dad. Together as a family, we made the difficult decision to transition him to home hospice care. On July 25, 2024, our father, Jason Kim, passed away in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. Jason Kim was a well-loved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who always worked hard to provide for his family. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and going on tropical vacations with his friends and family. He faithfully served his local church by participating in the choir and going on mission trips. Our father was a man who lived life to the fullest and to the best of his abilities. He will be dearly missed. We want to thank all of our friends and family for your prayers, support and condolences since our father's diagnosis. All of the donations made on this LFEBridge will be going to our mother, Sandy Kim, to help offset medical and funeral costs for our father. Any contribution would be a tremendous help and would be received with much gratitude. We are truly thankful for everyone's love and kindness during this difficult season of loss and grieving. If you would like to attend our father's funeral service, the details are provided below: Date: Saturday, August 5, 2024 Time: 5 PM Location: Beautiful Church, 1717 S Otterbein Ave, Rowland Heights, CA 91748 With love and gratitude, Caroline Pae, Janet Duh (on behalf of our mother, Sandy Kim)
