Hi, my name is Jakia, and I am raising money to participate in The Other Art Fair Los Angeles Fall 2024, happening in person September 21-24 at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. I have been accepted to feature my work in a 20 ft. booth alongside 130 individual artists. This is an immense honor, and I am so grateful to have been chosen for the Fair. I will have the opportunity to not only sell my work but to meet thousands of art lovers, as well as gallerists, collectors, and curators. Like many art world opportunities, art fairs require the artist to pay a fee to participate. The Other Art Fair is definitely on the larger and more established side, powered by Saatchi Art https://www.saatchiart.com/theotherartfair their fee is $2700, 30% deposit due July 14th. Whether it's a gallery taking 50% of your sale, or paying upfront to be in a fair, it can get expensive to showcase your work in the art world. 2024 has been amongst the most exciting, and challenging years of my life. In addition to saving for our wedding, 2024 has brought a lot of financial hardships & challenges. I will need a bit of help to get to the Fair and I am reaching out to my community to get there.
