Hi, we are Scott and Mark, long-time friends of Jackie Fox (nee Tindill). In fact Scott has known Jackie since they were 6 years old at school together in Australia. After hearing of Jackie's unexpected cancer diagnosis we recently travelled to the UK to be with Jackie, Rob her husband of 18 years and Charlotte, their 15 year old daughter. Jackie sadly died on July 11th at home with Rob and Charlotte by her bedside. At this difficult time we ask for your support. Because of the sudden nature of the diagnosis and her rapid decline, a number of additional costs were incurred so that Jackie's wish to die at home could be fulfilled. We also hope with your generosity, we can surpass our funding goal and assist Charlotte with costs for her ongoing education. If you knew Jackie we would very much appreciate it if you could make this page known to others in her circle of friends and colleagues. ABOUT JACKIE Jackie was an enthusiastic, hardworking, creative, articulate, self-motivated and professional individual. She had a wealth of experience gained over the years working for herself and others. Jackie strove at all times to make a measurable contribution in both her personal and professional life. The many people with whom she interacted over the years will no doubt, have positive and fond memories of this whirlwind of a woman. Over the years Jackie worked as a nurse at the Royal Brisbane Hospital in Queensland, Australia, as an assistant to various attachés at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Canberra, Australia, as a clinical governance project manager and trainer at the NHS in Cambridge, as a medical secretary at Addenbroke’s Hospital NHS Trust Cambridge, including PA to plastic, reconstructive and hand surgeons there. More recently Jackie was a transcriptionist, proof reader and reseacher in healthcare, media and academia. Her final job was working as a technical author for Amazon. Jackie’s interests were diverse and her influence was felt far and wide. A woman of incredible intelligence, she wanted to know everything about everything. She was awarded several degrees, diplomas and certificates in her ongoing thirst for knowledge. Her heart was just as enormous. Charitable almost to a fault, she gave without hesitation and sometimes she would go without in order to help others. Any time there was an international disaster or humanitarian crisis, Jackie dug into her pockets. More locally, she funded uniforms for UMIX Sheffield women’s football club. She facilitated donations of medical equipment to the Tiggywinkles Wildlife hospital and frequently donated Art and Educational material to schools such as computer tablets, even a PA System and set up an equipment fund for a Design & Technology department. Education was her driving passion. Her ultimate selfless charitable act, was her dying wish to donate her body to a medical training or research facility. Jackie gave so much to this world, we simply ask that if she touched your life in some way, that you help to assist Rob and Charlotte in any way you can. With our heartfelt thanks Scott and Mark
