Hi everyone, we are the Lobo family, and we are posting this to help support our family during this difficult time. On 7/17/23, our son Isaiah “Bogey” Lobo, 4 years old (he will be 5 on 10/3/23), was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). We have been at the hospital since he was diagnosed for treatment and procedures. Over the last two weeks, he has undergone many procedures, including blood transfusions, blood platelet transfusions, and chemotherapy. On 8/02, he had a seizure and after a CT scan and EEG scan, we received the worst news! He has bleeding in his brain which caused his seizure. The doctors don't know how or why. This is something he could have been born with (not related to leukemia). They gave him medication to help stop future seizures. He was transferred to the ICU, and he continued to have more seizures. They intubated him and put in a drain to relieve some of the pressure off of his brain. Later that night, he went into surgery to remove part of his skull because the drain was not enough. They currently still have him sedated so his little body can rest. They are going to continue to have CT scans to monitor the bleeding. We are asking for prayers and donations to help us get through this time and allow us to focus on our baby's fight. Money raised will be used for medical bills, travel expenses and other associated costs. The doctors have already informed us to anticipate a 2.5 year leukemia treatment plan. Rosa (mom) is currently the only working at this time while Manuel (Dad) is off of work due to medical reasons. We know at this stage it's a long road for his recovery and we are not sure when we will be able to return to work, as we want to remain by our baby’s side and focus on his care. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
