Hey Former Players and Alumni, Independence High School (Independence Louisiana) has a new football coach, the team has been working out all summer, and The Tigers are ready to turn things around and get headed in the winning direction. New Coach Travis Mikel is trying to turn IHS back into a winner, but Coach has come across several problems as it relates to equipment, Helmets that have not been certified since the 2024 season, Shoulder pads falling apart, locker room and lockers in shambles, The Tangipahoa Parish School System has floated travis 12k to buy 25 new helmets, this program has lots of needs to become a winner, shoulder pads, weights for the weight room, paint for the field, (IHS currently has no paint to paint the yard markers on the field, Every aspect of the program is lacking, and in need. So as alumni, and former players, it's time to help out, let's help restore IHS football to its one-time glory state...... let's do our part, and get behind this coach, and these young men and help out so Travis can begin to address other needs within the program to get IHS back on the winning track. part of the money will be used to buy both new helmets and new shoulder pads
