When we all found out about our little Mac it was a surprise to everyone. After running some tests, Dad's dream came true; we found out we were having a sweet little boy! The test also told us that baby Mac had Down syndrome. At first everyone was so scared and didn't know what this complication would bring.  With research, we knew what to expect and more importantly we realized that this disability was not a disability at all, it just made our little buddy unique! As the pregnancy went on he was also diagnosed with a cystic hygroma and hydrops fetalis.  After lots of prayer from friends and family God surprised us all with the hygroma decreasing until it was completely gone and there was no sign of the hyprops. After all of the complications, mom had a simple and normal pregnancy. That was until little Mac wanted to make his debut early! Two weeks ago mommy went into labor at just 30 weeks. He wanted to come and say hi when daddy was in Europe. Once everyone was together we realized that he was going to stay in and bake for a little bit longer! On October 26, 2015 McCullough Christopher DeCou decided to forgo the pain and heartache of this world. Instead, Baby Mac chose to be rocked by his great grandparents in heaven. You brought so much joy to your parents and big sister and you are so loved by your grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Our hearts break not being able to watch you grow and laugh and love but we know that you were never ours. You are a gift from God. A gift that He loved so much he decided to keep you with Him.  Sleep well little guy, know you are loved. We'll see you soon buddy. Even though little Mac was not with us for very long we still would like his life to make an impact. All donations will be given to both the Life Skills room and Multiple Disabilities room at Boiling Springs High School.
