Since January, Lisa had been supporting her husband, Carl, during a challenging time as Carl underwent a medical procedure. Unfortunately, due to the negligence of a short-term care facility in reporting a wound that later turned lethal, Carl's health took a devastating turn. Despite the unwavering dedication of Lisa, C.J., Marjorie, family, and friends to ensure Carl's well-being, he passed away on the evening of May 27th 2024, surrounded by loved ones at the hospice. A Second Tragedy Unfolds: Less than two months after preparing for Carl's memorial and attempting to cope with the loss, another heart-wrenching event unfolded. On the morning of July 24th 2024, Lisa wasn't feeling well and was advised to go to the hospital. While doctors were uncertain about the cause, they admitted her for observation. Shockingly, that very evening, Lisa suffered a cardiac arrest, and despite the doctors' efforts, they couldn't revive her. This second unexpected loss has left all those who loved her, especially her son, C.J. and her 90-year-old mother Marjorie, in unspeakable pain and shock. Remembering Lisa's Love and Dedication: Lisa's love knew no bounds. She was a devoted pillar of care and compassion for her family, friends, and community. Her care and devotion extended not only to her son, mother and her loving dog (Percy) but also to her coworkers at the turnpike, where she dedicated over 30 years of her life. Her kindness also touched the lives of many within the community of Palmyra and numerous animal welfare organizations. Extending a Helping Hand: In this time of immense grief and hardship, I am urging our communities to come together to extend our support to C.J. and his grandmother, Marjorie. The loss of Lisa and Carl has not only left an emotional void but has also placed a significant financial burden on the family. Funeral arrangements, mortgage payments, and other unforeseen expenses have added to their already heavy hearts.
