Hi everyone, Thank you for taking the time to read this post about our wonderful and beloved best friend, daughter, and sister, Kornelija Latakaite. It is with great sadness to share that we lost our beautiful friend on Thursday 27 July 2024, a month and one day shy from her 24th birthday. Kornelija was truly one of a kind – a ray of sunshine in every aspect of life. But her untimely passing has left us all devastated, and we cannot help but wonder how such a vibrant soul could be taken from us so soon. Kornelija was a shining example of kindness, compassion, and unwavering support. She had an uncanny ability to bring joy into the lives of everyone she encountered. Whether it was her infectious laughter, her ability to listen without judgement, or her constant encouragement, she had a profound impact on everyone she touched. Her friendship was a gift that all of us [her friends] will forever cherish. As we remember the amazing soul that was Kornelija, we, for now, are waiting for her official cause of death and will update this post accordingly. Due to her untimely death, we want to memorialise our loss by setting up a bench at one of the local parks that Kornelija used to frequently go to. The bench will be maintained and built by our local council, Enfield (https://www.enfield.gov.uk/services/births-deaths-and-marriages/memorials). Kornelija will be buried in her home country of Lithuania. Therefore, we would like to keep Kornelija's memory alive in her city of birth, London. The total amount asked reflects the payment for the memorial bench and fees taken by LFEBridge. Any additional money raised will go toward the family. We truly appreciate all donations.
