As many of you know, our beloved Kimberley Gillis passed away unexpectedly on July 30, 2024. Kim was a wonderful wife, mother, Grammie, friend, and business owner who touched the lives of everyone around her. Her daughter, Chrissy, coordinated a beautiful service to honor her mom this past Sunday and had a wonderful turnout – seeing so many people wearing Kim’s favorite color (red) in celebration of her life was amazing to see. As Chrissy’s childhood best friend, many people have reached out to me asking how they can help the Gillis family during this difficult time. I have started a fundraiser to help ease the financial burden that has accompanied the family’s loss and hopefully allow them to focus more on the healing process. All proceeds will be applied to funeral expenses and settling Kimberley’s estate. Kim dedicated her life to her and Glen’s family business, Lakeside Boat Repair, est. 1989. Any additional funds remaining after resolving debts will be put toward the construction of Lakeside Boat Repair’s new shop building – something Kim and Glen had been planning since May, after having to relocate their business twice since December of 2024. While Glen is working hard to keep the boat shop running, Chrissy, James, and a handful of family and friends are giving a helping hand at Lakeside when they can. We would love to pay tribute to Kim’s dedication by getting Lakeside Boat Repair back into a fully operating shop as soon as possible to help get the business back on its feet again. Please consider donating, as any amount will truly help the family during this difficult time. Thank you so much for your consideration, Morgan
