It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Derian who left us on August 3rd, 2024 at the tender age of 23. Derian was a loving son, an amazing brother, and a pretty good air fryer chef. He was also a great friend who touched the lives of everyone he met with his kindness, generosity, and humor. He was always ready to lend a hand, share a smile, offer a word of encouragement or enthusiastically recount the latest episode of One Piece. He had a passion for music, sports, and travel, and he lived every day to the fullest. He was always the life of the party. Derian’s sudden death has left a huge hole in our hearts and a financial burden on his family. We are asking for your help to cover the costs of his funeral, and memorial service, as well as other related expenses (family travel from Europe and the Dominican Republic), and transporting Derian's body back to New York City from New Orleans. No amount is too small or too big. Every donation will be greatly appreciated and will honor Derian’s memory and pursuit of justice for a life lost way too young. We understand that not everyone can contribute financially, instead, your thoughts and prayers are welcomed as well. Thank you for your support and compassion during this difficult time. Funeral services are to be held at Ortiz Funeral Home at 2121 Westchester Ave, Bronxville, NY 10462. Saturday, August 12th, 2024. Time: 2:00 - 6:00pm
